SITUMET is a cooperation project between UBIMET, Ltd. and the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and System Engineering. External parners are the Computer Systems and Telematics Group of the Freie Universität Berlin and Paradine, Ltd, which is also located in Vienna.

UBIMET is the project leader and responsible for all meteorological aspects in the project. Additionally UBIMET developed the prognosis kernel and the data server. Fraunhofer ISST is project partner and responsible for all aspects of information logistic, as well as location- and situation-based data handling and platform architectures. In the framework of a sub-contract FU Berlin developed and built mobile meteorological sensors. The sub-contractor Paradine devolped a database for the management of different sensor types and sensor properties.
